Case one · Public spending records
Somebody bought a motorhome.
Somebody also bought a £30 parking ticket.
Over twelve years as chief executive of the SNP, Peter Murrell embezzled around £400,000 from the party. He pleaded guilty, and in June 2026 was jailed for five years and three months. The spending was itemised, right down to the hand cream. This is that list, all 1,048 things, sorted and searchable, with a basket so you can add it up yourself.

Where it went
Half the money was three vehicles
A motorhome, a Jaguar and a Volkswagen Golf account for £199,669 of the total. Strip those out and what is left is startlingly ordinary: casserole dishes, bird feeders, fountain pens, and an awful lot of kitchen knives.
467 of the purchases were under £50. The smallest single item on the whole list is a £2.50 tube of hand cream.
